DIY Bath Bombs with Essential Oils

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup Epsom salts
  • 1/4 cup Citric Acid I bought on Amazon
  • 6 tbls Corn Starch

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 tbls Water
  • 2 tbls Oil Any Carrier Oil will do, Coconut, Rose, Almond, Or Olive Oil
  • 20 drops Essential Oils Your choice of Combinations
  • optional Food Coloring

Instructions

  1. Wish together Dry Ingredients in a bowl and set aside

  2. Mix together wet ingredients until completely mixed together.

  3. Slowly Add wet ingredients to dry,  It will start to fizz.  Just keep pouring and mixing.

  4. Mix wet and dry ingredients together until a firm consistency and you can lightly mold with your fingers.  If your mix is too dry add more oil in small amounts until you reach correct consistency.

  5. Start to place bath bomb mixture in muffin tin.  We tried and failed to do in silicone molds once.  They cracked and fell apart.  Now we use smaller metal tins.  If you want to add petals or herbs add to the tin first, then put mixture on top. If you add to mix sometimes the mix will fall apart.  We found that out also the hard way!

  6. Pat mixture until very packed and tightly into muffin tin (grown up hands best) If the mixture is not tight the bombs will fall apart when you take them out .

  7. Let dry 8 hours & enjoy the smell in the room ;) When they are set pop them out and enjoy!  We put in a mason jar with holes in the top ( they need to breathe they create a gas)
