Fried Ice Cream with All the Flavor & None of the Fat! Ok…Some of the Fat!
I first had fried Ice Cream in Mexico about a decade ago and it was Love at First Bite! There had to be a way to recreate that Heaven in a bowl minus the time and effort and and what do you know? There is and it’s pretty damn good, takes half the time, and no mess. I had totally forgotten about this recipe, until my son’s 22 birthday, my oven was caput and I needed a no-bake dessert recipe. I racked my brain and pulled this gem from the recesses of my hormonally diminished forgetful 43 year old brain. It was a hit. I thought I would share, I hope you enjoy this easy peasy 10 minute gem of a sweet treat!
Sweet Treat~Faux Fried Ice Cream
Fried Ice Cream with All the Flavor & None of the Fat
- 1 Container French Vanilla Or Vanilla Bean Ice Cream I use generic everything, EXCEPT Ice Cream
- 1/2 Box Corn Flakes
- Ice Cream Sunday Toppings Choc Syrup, Strawberries, Nuts, etc
Gather your ingredients as well as a cookie sheet and wax paper
Start scooping your ice cream balls and rolling them in your cereal. Ice cream works best if hard frozen. Work quickly for best results.
Lay on wax lined cookie sheet and place in freezer.
Keep in freezer until ready to serve. Serve in bowls with whatever "Sunday" Toppings you have on hand..Chocolate Syrup, Strawberries, Nuts..etc
Sit back, enjoy dessert and wait for the compliments to roll in 😉
