There probably isn’t a person alive who doesn’t want a little bit extra cash from time to time. Luckily with the internet, we can make time to make money any time with easy side hustles during our day. You could use your mobile phone, a slow but steady laptop or even a tablet. All that matters is you put in some time every day.
If you are good with your hands or have a hobby where you have made and stored things like blankets, jewelry, woodwork or even paintings – It might be time to pop them on your own Etsy store. If Etsy doesn’t sound like your bag, because of the fees and some of the limits, then there is nothing stopping you creating your own website to list your good on. If you have expertise in a niche area, you can also write courses and sell them on platforms like Udemy, or again on your own website. Perhaps selling a Skype tutoring service sounds more up your street. If you are great with a camera, maybe it is time to sell those fantastic shots on a site like Getty or Foap, which I personally do and make some extra income with the effort you’ve already put in.
Write a Blog
There has been money in blogging for years now. You might get paid by a brand as an influencer to talk about their product on a blog post or post something on your social media channels. Or perhaps you will get paid for featuring links, or guest posts. Another great option is to make money affiliate marketing – registering with a supportive platform and promoting services or goods that you already use or have used in the past. With affiliate marketing, every time someone makes a purchase using that like you will get a small amount of money from the company who owns the affiliate link. Just be ready to put in the hours and hard work!
Sites like Upwork, Freelancer, People Per Hour and Fivver allow you to sell your skills. The gig economy currently means you can pick up one-off ‘gigs’ or jobs, and once you are complete, there is no follow up a contract. You won’t be tied into an employer and are free to pick and choose what you want to do and how much you want to charge for it. You can work the hours you decided too. Great if you are an early riser and have a few free hours, or perhaps a night owl and rather than watch movies you can pick up some extra cash.
They say that there is around 4k worth of stuff in every house that no one is using. If you have a bit of a thing for clothing but never wear half of what you buy, or have a bag collection that Chanel would be envious of, perhaps it’s time to think about selling on eBay or the Facebook Marketplace. You can sell everything from clothes to old electronics. Last month alone, I sold about $150 on Amazon on stuff laying around the house I no longer used. Be sure to check your seller fees and price your items accordingly. When it comes to making money online, all you need is a bit of time and either extra stuff or some skills.
