Elf “Beauty Shield Primer” – Beauty Product Review

"Elf Beauty Shield Primer" Review

Not only am I constantly on the hunt for beauty products for myself, as a mother of two teen girls I shop for their skincare routine also. I try to instill in them the importance of taking care of their skin. Sometimes they are receptive and sometimes not so much. Such is life with teens.

What is not negotiable in my home, is daily sunscreen. But even that get’s tricky, with one teen girl prone to breakouts and one fair-skinned girlie that dries out and burns. Which is problematic, to say the least.

So when I came across this very affordable “Beauty Shield Primer” by “Elf” I thought this just might be perfect for the older one. Who loves a little bit of coverage, and mama requires a whole lot of SPF!

The Verdict

If you look closely in the pic, you’ll notice I didn’t wash off my hand. I wanted you to be able to see the consistency of the product. The “Beauty Shield Primer” is the consistency of a serum, which my daughter loves because it is light. She applies it with a beauty blender and it goes on flawlessly. The product evens out her complexion without the look of a heavy foundation, perfect for “no-make-up days.”

Mom Approved

I love the “Elf Beauty Shield” because 1) High SPF 50, to be exact and 2) she doesn’t look like she is “made up” and 3) the super affordable price!

The primer description touts a “universal shade.” I have tried on myself, and I am considerably lighter than she and I can honestly say I would be able to wear this as well.
